Shona has a long career history entrenched across the Music, Entertainment and Software Industries. Recently, as the CEO and Co-Founder of Trigger Happy (a licensed-character entertainment software platform), she built and lead a team of 20 staff, 6 Board and 14 Shareholders as they launched their product worldwide to engage customers, market and promote the product. In 2014 Trigger Happy won Company of the Year, Pre Commercialisation at the NZ Hi-Tech Awards, as well they won “NZ Innovators of the Year in Music, Media and Entertainment”. Through the journey Shona was instrumental in securing high-profile licensing deals and strategic partnerships with Hollywood Studios. As well as rigorously implemented an IP strategy, which included securing technology Patents and Trademarks. Prior to leading Trigger Happy Shona was in the music and television industries, plus was the Executive Chair of the Auckland Screen and Digital Content Leadership group in 2011/2012. In 2009, she was nominated for the Veuve Clicquot NZ Business Woman of the Year Award. In September 2013 she was named as “Unlimited Magazine’s 2013 Business Influencer ‘One to watch’”
Over the past 25 years Ross has been actively and continuously committed to the New Zealand Tourism Industry. He is a proud New Zealander who has represented his country internationally on a professional level, across a myriad of products and companies. He is known as a supporter of the “NZ Inc” industry, often collaborating on innovate products; as is evident in the “Hobbiton Day Tours” and “NZ Cycle Ways” products which Ross conceived and implemented. As well, he has actively continued to grow and develop in-market strategy, contacts and relationships within the Australian, Chinese, Japanese, North American, Brazilian, UK and European territories. He considers himself to be culturally sensitive and professionally fluent in these markets; successfully strategizing and opening new channels, negotiating new relationships and securing new business in a comfortable and consistent manner. Ross is currently the GM of Sales for the InterCity Group and sits on their Executive Team.
Ross and Shona are a husband and wife team and are highly successful individuals in their chosen careers. Having demonstrated high levels of business acumen, sales and marketing expertise, they have successfully conceived, built, developed and sold products internationally. This next step into the bottled water business, although a new industry, is merely a new model for them in product development, marketing, sales and strategic relationship development.
Malcolm has a passion for innovation, thought leadership, Kiwis and their place and performance on the world stage. With a strong leadership and governance record, as the current CEO of Christchurch International Airport; a high profile publicly listed New Zealand Company, 8 years as the CEO of Intercity Group and 5 years as Deputy Chair (and Chair of Audit) for Tourism New Zealand.
Malcolm acts as a mentor and advisor to both Shona and Ross with a wealth of knowledge and guidance, giving them clarity and focus in order to capture emerging opportunities internationally.
